The EU General Regulation No. 2024/1689 on Artificial Intelligence: organizational and technical requirements for enterprises.

Alessandro del Ninno delves in this 8-hour Training Course into the practical organizational impact that the EU rules on Artificial Intelligence in Regulation 2024/1689 will have on the entire AI supply chain (developers, suppliers, importers, distributors, deployers and users) in the years to come.

The Workshop will delve into all the innovative aspects of the new AI Act regulations, in force since last August 2, 2024 and applicable globally under certain preconditions-which stands as the first legislative paradigm in the world in the attempt to introduce homogeneous, organic and generally applicable rules.

Particular focus is devoted to the risk-based approach of the EU AI Act, as well as to the anthropocentrism of Artificial Intelligence, around which the entire system of new rules revolves. From this perspective, the impacts of the provisions on the so-called “high-risk AI systems” and the resulting obligations on developers and vendors (e.g., implementation of a risk assessment system, a general quality management and data governance system) are analyzed. But the new obligations on AI system deployers are also analyzed from an operational perspective, as they will impose a restructuring of, for example, contractual relationships with AI system suppliers.
