In his speech at the 2021 DPO Annual Training Conference, Prof. Avv. Alessandro del Ninno highlighted the organizational and practical aspects of the role of the Data Protection Officer (RPD / DPO) in the Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) process.

In particular, the relationship between the DPO and the Data Controller in the management of the DPIA, the structuring of the DPO's opinion (when required), the liability perspectives and the practical tasks as detailed in the Guidelines on the DPO and in the Guidelines on DPIA have been gone in-depth.
