On line workshop organized by Paradigma S.p.A.

Cookies, online identifiers and web tracking: the new rules of practice of 2022.
Prof. Avv. Alessandro del Ninno is the sole lecturer at the 4-hour online workshop which takes stock of the new rules regarding cookies, online identifiers and tracking after the entry into force - starting from 10 January 2022 - of the Italian Data Protection Authority's Guidelines on cookie as of 20 June 2021, no. 231 introducing organizational and technical measures for websites and other electronic platforms - including mobile - that allow the storage of information in the users' terminal equipments or access to information already stored.

The seminar also provides practical information, translating into concrete, understandable and operational terms all the legal and technical obligations and fulfilments regarding cookies, identifiers, tracking and profiling contained in the applicable provisions and regulations in force: from the Italian Data Protection Code to the GDPR (applicable only on consent), from the two Italian Data Protection Authority's Guidelines on cookie enacted on 2014 and 2021  to the rules set forth in the EDPB Guidelines.

Practical information are provided on the choices regarding cookies adopted in the main EU countries in the implementation of the current Directive 2002/58 on privacy in electronic communications (pending the final approval of the e-Privacy Regulation, which is also examined.

Finally, the current scenarios about accessing online contents and services vis-a-vis the commitment to provide personal data are also analysed and commented in light of the rules set forth in the Italian Consumer Code as implementing the EU Directive 770/2019.
