In this interview Prof. Avv. Alessandro del Ninno points out the data protection criticalities linked to an unaware use by users of the gender app turning users into males/women as the case may be (and, in general, of the apps employing users' biometric data and face recognition systems). Granting for free the related personal data by users deeming to use an harmless app implies - on the contrary - serious consequences such as IA systems trained in recognizing faces in a more and more precise way, basing on the deep machine learning modalities.
