Managing workers' e-mail and metadata: obligations for private and public sector employers.

With the policy document no. 364/2024 entitled “Computer programs and services for managing electronic mail in the workplace and processing metadata” the Italian Data Protection Authority has provided an organic reconstruction of the provisions applicable in this specific area, in light of previous decisions made by the Authority, with the aim of focusing attention on some points where data protection regulations and the rules that prescribe the requirements for the use of technological tools in the workplace meet.

During the conference, lawyer Alessandro del Ninno illustrates the main practical and operational requirements for public and private employers in managing the e-mail service made available to workers, analyzing procedures and compliance policies.
