The accessibility of websites, mobile applications, products and other online services: applying digital inclusion obligations in practice.

On May 8, 2025, the online workshop “Accessibility of websites, mobile applications, products and other online services”, organized by Optime – Paradigma, was held.

 

In his lecture, Attorney Alessandro Del Ninno provided a systematic analysis of the regulatory framework governing digital accessibility for private entities, with particular reference to the Italian Legge Stanca and Legislative Decree no. 82/2022.

 

The lecture examined the fundamental legal concepts of accessibility, the requirements established for products and services, the deadlines set by European and national legislators, and the exemptions from compliance obligations. Special attention was given to the role of the AgID Guidelines and their practical application in the design of websites and applications.

 

The presentation also explored the innovations introduced by the so-called “Accessibility Decree 2022”, illustrating how companies and organizations must comply with the obligations by the deadline of June 28, 2025, the responsibilities of service providers, and the supervisory powers entrusted to AgID. Attorney Alessandro del Ninno emphasized the importance of integrating accessibility requirements into design and development processes, highlighting that compliance is not merely a formal requirement but also a strategic lever for inclusion, reputation, and competitiveness.
